Upcoming AR/PR Follow-Up

Now that we're about two weeks out from the follow-up session on the 10th, are there things we can begin thinking and dialoguing about in preparation?

Can someone define the role of the "critical mass" of Af.-Am.'s in the training.

Thanks for the posting, Angela.

I do not know the answer to your question about critical mass. Perhaps another reader will be able to help out there.

As to the "What Next?" question, I am convinced that no project or program or process will succeed without each of us discerning a personal plan of transformation that moves us away from racism, towards reconciliation.

For me, that means being intnetional and systematic about engaging with other ethnic communities enough to be changed by those relationships. I have specific plans to implement over the next few months to make those connections.

Another piece is a choice to be in accountability relationships with others who share the dream of dismantling white privilge - starting with our own complicity in it. I am blessed to have known others nearby who are willing to walk that with me. We meet (for other reasons) at least monthly and we check-in with each other about our progress (or regress), our intnetions and our follow through. We also pray for each other.
